Start/stop a webcam and/or screen-share recording. Each start and stop is timestamped using the same PTB-direct and backend-relayed sync as the time sync demo. Requires HTTPS (or localhost) and browser permission prompts for camera/screen access.
Resolution/frame rate/camera are requests the device may not fully honor (especially for screen share, and front/back camera selection on desktop devices with only one camera). Bitrate is a target passed to MediaRecorder, not a hard guarantee — check the measured bitrate shown after stopping to see what you actually got. "Required screen share source" is checked immediately after you pick something in the browser's share dialog: a mismatch stops the stream before any recording happens. This check does not work in Firefox (it doesn't implement the underlying displaySurface reporting at all) — on unsupported browsers you'll see an explicit "unverified" warning instead of a silent pass or a broken block. Settings apply at the moment you click Start, not retroactively to an in-progress recording.
One row per start/stop event, timestamped at the moment it happened - including stops triggered externally (e.g. clicking the browser's own "Stop sharing" bar), not just the buttons on this page.
